The 2025 Volkswagen Golf R is arguably the biggest beneficiary of the eighth-generation Golf refresh. It doesn’t just get updated styling and an improved infotainment system; rather, it gets even more power. On paper, it also has some interesting option packages that can change the styling and even save a little weight. At the same time, it now finds itself facing down extremely compelling performance options for less money. So is the Golf R still worth checking out, or has it been priced out of relevancy?
