I have to be honest – I’m not a huge fan of the second-generation Volkswagen Tiguan, popularity notwithstanding. Its cheap-feeling interior and middling driving dynamics feel like a departure from the Teutonic, slightly oddball ideals of the company’s previous products, like the Jetta 3 VR6, Passat TDI, or original Rabbit. Luckily, the 2025 VW Tiguan promises more of just about everything, including standard equipment, interior space, and technology. It’s also lighter and more powerful, and the cabin boasts nicer materials.
