The 2026 Ford Explorer has added a new rugged trim level, called the Explorer Tremor. Built for families who want to leave the paved road, the new Tremor trim replaces the outgoing Timberline model, which was discontinued in 2024. When Ford facelifted the Explorer for the 2025 model year, it did so with a drastically reduced lineup. Ford previously offered eight Explorer trim levels, but cut it down to four to reduce production complexity.
