The California Special package is one of the oldest add-ons in Mustang’s long history. Ford first offered the appearance upgrade way back in 1968. It was revived in the 2000s and has largely stuck around ever since. It’s not as well known as Shelby or Mach 1 upfits, but the California Special is revered in the Mustang community for bringing a touch of extra style to the pony car.
