2026 Rogue Just Got Darker And More Expensive

Last month, we exclusively reported the 2026 Nissan Rogue would be receiving a host of updates including a new Dark Armor edition. Now, the company has officially introduced the model and announced pricing will start at $28,790.

While the entry-level crossover costs $200 more than its predecessor, the big news is the aforementioned Rogue Dark Armor. It’s based on the SV trim and embraces the blackout trend. As part of the makeover, there’s gloss black mirror caps, pillar trim, and badging. They’re joined by a black grille, satin black roof rails, and 19-inch wheels with a gloss black finish.

The upgrades extend to the cabin, where buyers will find additional equipment. Highlights include a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and a panoramic moonroof. The Dark Armor also adds an HD Intelligent Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection.

Speaking of the 2026 Rogue SV, it gains a newly available Cold Weather Package. It, unsurprisingly, adds a heated steering wheel and heated front seats.

While our insider got a number of details right, including the elimination of the SL’s Premium Package, there are some deviations. In particular, the Platinum continues to offer a Tech Package with ProPILOT Assist 2.1.

The rumored Rogue Rock Creek price cut also didn’t pan out as the 2026 model starts at $33,690. That’s an increase of $200 instead of a decline.

Regardless of which trim is selected, all Rogues are powered by a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine producing 201 hp (150 kW / 203 PS) and 225 lb-ft (305 Nm) of torque. It’s paired to an Xtronic transmission, which enables the crossover to return up to 29 mpg city, 36 mpg highway, and 32 mpg combined. It’s also worth noting the range-topping Rogue Platinum is now available exclusively with all-wheel drive.
