
The Australian auto industry doesn’t get a lot of attention in North America, but for decades, the country quietly produced some of the most incredible muscle cars in the world. Led by the General Motors-owned brand Holden, the Aussies wanted a piece of the high-performance pie, and they fell as much in love with the V8 as the United States did. The result was decades of innovation and motorsport dominance, something folks in the US could only appreciate from afar, as corporate overlords weren’t too keen on the competition.
