As you might have heard, the European Union is in the process of making life difficult for performance cars. From 1 July 2026, the maximum external noise level may not exceed 68 decibels (dB), which is the main reason why the Honda Civic Type R is no longer available in Europe. Apparently, these new noise regulations are also the reason why Mercedes-AMG is killing its loudest models, but we’re willing to bet that it’s not whatever car you’re thinking of.
