Alpine, Renault’s high-performance sub-brand, is best known today for producing models such as the stunning A110 sports car and the electrified A290 hot hatch. However, the current incarnation of the brand has only existed for just over a decade. Alpine’s previous life ended in the mid-1990s, when Renault reorganized its brand strategy and placed its high-performance models under the Renault Sport name.
