Some enthusiasts love to argue over whether a sedan can be a sports car, or if sports cars have to have two doors. We’re here to settle the debate by saying sedans can absolutely be sports cars, and are oftentimes a more practical solution to needing more passenger and cargo space than a two-door. They can have the same engines, suspension geometry, loud exhausts, and everything else we associate with sporty coupes and convertibles. With that being said, there are some pretty quick sedans out there. On the American side, you have models like the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, and the Germans bring models like the BMW M5. We want to focus on Japanese sedans sold here over the last couple of decades. There are a few models to discuss, but one takes the cake as the quickest Japanese sedan sold in the U.S.
