Mercedes-Benz has certainly built some performance cars over the years to set tongues wagging, but few are as controversial as the R63 AMG. Here you had a case of decision makers being slightly off base with their thinking, as, for some reason, they thought that buyers would love a six- or seven-seat people mover that had so much acceleration it might take your breath away off the line.
