It’s always a breath of fresh air when you rearrange furniture. Infinitely interchangeable, the ARID Wall Lighting system by Nahtrang Studio for Bover encapsulates the open-ended brilliance of modular design, allowing us as users to create a multitude of configurations from nodes of light and back panels, offering diffusion, visual interest, and a pop of color.
“We wanted to explore the artisan world, the arid landscapes, by creating compositions that breathe new life into the wall,” explain Daniel Vila and Ester Pujol of Nahtrang Studio. Flexible, adaptable, and most importantly, beautiful, the ARID Collection seems to emerge from the wall, retaining a clever level of cohesion through form identity. The circles of light and squares of color abstract: houses and people emerge, matrixes of connection in which we can really see ourselves.
Each piece creates a distinct diffusive effect, creating a multitude of different styles within just a couple elements. Easily reconstructed into different forms, it empowers us to take control of our spaces: as masters of our own domain, as it were, even the smallest city apartment deserves some design thinking. From urban areas, to larger homes outside the city, each piece of the ARID Wall System has been meticulously considered, bringing cohesion and style to any entryway, living space, or bedroom.
ARID utilizes aluminum, a material traditionally considered somewhat cold and uncompromising, and transforms it into a warm lighting installation, inviting a chic creativity into living and working spaces. The designers share, “We chose aluminum for two key reasons: it offered us technical precision and, at the same time, it’s recyclable, lightweight, and sustainable.” Dimmable and available in eight modern colorways, including white, ebony black, pebble grey, terracotta, graphite brown, olive grey, grey blue, and sand yellow. Each based in nature, they offer an easy way to bring the outdoors in. Organically minded within technical precision, ARID offers a unique and dynamic expression of style, the best of both Nahtrang Studio and Bover coming together as one.
