When you think of what would constitute a hard life for an engine, there’s a good chance you’re thinking of someone driving it like they stole it. While there’s certainly some truth to that, the opposite can be true, too. An engine that idles a lot, lugs around at low rpm all the time, and only runs for short trips, can also lead to problems.
