Stratton Mountain once again delivered the perfect backdrop for a Ski Moms gathering this winter. Our group returned for a second year, wrapping up the 2026 Ski Moms event season with two days of skiing, skill-building, and plenty of laughter on the mountain.
With a base of 30 inches and nearly 150 inches of snow for the season, conditions were ideal as participants arrived from across the East Coast—including one skier who traveled all the way from Charlottesville, VA—to spend the weekend together in Vermont.

Welcoming Ski Moms to the Mountain
The weekend began with a casual welcome gathering featuring wine, sparkling water, and a gorgeous charcuterie spread from Boarderie, a company that ships beautifully assembled boards directly to your home.
The evening gave everyone a chance to meet before hitting the slopes the next morning. More than half a dozen participants had joined us at last year’s Stratton event (rain and all), and we welcomed several new faces to the group this year as well.
Ski Coaching and On-Mountain Learning
After breakfast the following morning, the group headed to the American Express lift to begin two days of guided skiing.
Stratton provided four instructors who helped organize participants into small groups based on ability level and goals. Some skiers were eager to focus on technical improvement, while others were looking forward to cruising the mountain and enjoying time on snow with other women who share the same passion.
Throughout the weekend, instructors worked with each group on a range of skills, offering tips that helped participants build confidence while still keeping the focus on enjoying the mountain.

Testing the Latest Skis with Nordica
One of the highlights of the weekend was the opportunity to demo skis from Nordica.
The brand brought its latest models—including the popular Santa Ana and Wild Belle skis—along with experts Hanna and Aaron, who joined participants on snow to help guide the testing process.
Rather than simply recommending equipment, the Nordica team focused on helping skiers understand what they were feeling on the snow and how different skis responded to their skiing style. The experience gave participants the confidence to make informed decisions about their gear.
All demo equipment was coordinated through Equipe Sport, the well-known ski shop located in Stratton Village.

Après Ski and Gear Talk at Equipe Sport
After a full afternoon on the mountain, the group gathered at Equipe Sport for an evening of après ski, shopping, and equipment discussion with owner Parker and his team.
Equipe carries an extensive selection of skis, boots, and outerwear, and several participants took the opportunity to upgrade their gear. By the end of the evening, three women had purchased new boots and one skier added a pair of Nordica Wild Belle skis to her quiver.
Over cheese and wine, the group also learned more about ski maintenance and performance, including how proper waxing, edging, and tuning can extend the life of skis and improve performance on the mountain.

Fresh Snow for Day Two
Rain overnight turned to snow, and the group woke to a fresh blanket covering the mountain.
After breakfast at the Stratton lodge, participants regrouped for another day of guided skiing. One favorite run was Kinderbrook, an approachable black diamond that provided plenty of space to practice newly learned techniques while avoiding the busiest trails.
The instructors continued to tailor coaching to each group, offering helpful insights while keeping the experience relaxed and fun.
A Community Built Around Skiing
As the weekend wrapped up, participants packed up and headed home—many already talking about the next Ski Moms event.
What makes these gatherings special is the community they create. Women who may have met only hours earlier quickly become ski partners, sharing tips, stories, and plenty of laughs both on and off the mountain.
Thank You to Our Partners
Several partners helped make the Ski Moms events possible this season.
Ursa Major provided skincare favorites—including the Golden Hour Recovery Cream—perfect for restoring winter skin after long days on the slopes.
Mabel’s Labels supplied durable waterproof labels that keep ski gear organized for busy families.
Boarderie provided charcuterie spreads for each of our events, making it easy to host welcoming gatherings without hours of preparation.
With the 2026 Ski Moms event season now complete, we’re already looking forward to what next winter might bring—and more opportunities to bring women together on the mountain.
