Driving an EV or a hybrid could soon cost you more money. The chair of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee wants to start charging buyers who don’t use a tax to help pay for highway use. It’s the second time a fee for thrifty vehicles has come up in less than a year, and this one could have more legs than the last attempt.
