The saga surrounding the First Brands bankruptcy is far from over, with criminal action and civil lawsuits against its former executives well under way. But many of its most famous intellectual properties may have just been handed a lifeline thanks to a corporate acquisition from Premium Guard, Inc. (PGI). The sale includes several brand names like Autolite, Trico, and FRAM. Although specific plans for the brands haven’t been illuminated yet, there’s still some hope yet that the companies will survive to see another shade-tree maintenance job for your old Chevy Silverado.
