
McKibbon Hospitality is building an AC Hotel and Moxy Hotel Tampa Downtown at 111 N. Meridian Ave. in Tampa’s Channel District. The 13-story project will consist of 310 rooms, 175 AC and 135 Moxy rooms. It’s expected to open in early 2028.
The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports McKibbon paid over $9 million for the .74-acre property in 2025.
Coastal Construction is the general contractor. Lindsay Pope Brayfield and Associates is the architect . McKibbon’s own construction arm, McKibbon Places, is the project manager. Its hotel management arm will operate the AC-Moxy when it is complete.
The hotel’s street level will include a café and wine bar, over 10,500 square feet of retail space, a fifth-floor pool deck, a rooftop restaurant and bar and more than 6,500 square feet of event space. SRS Real Estate Partners will market the property for lease.
