Sounders FC announced that the Providence Swedish Performance Center & Clubhouse in Renton, Washington, is serving as the base camp training site for the Belgium National Team during the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Originally the site of Boeing’s corporate offices, the space underwent a 41,300-square-foot renovation across two floors. In all, the facility encompasses 50,000 square feet and is strategically located in Renton, Washington, 15 miles from downtown Seattle and Lumen Field.
Unico Properties and the Seattle Sounders FC partnered to transform the former 158-acre Boeing Commercial Airplanes headquarters into a new training facility and corporate headquarters. Acquired by Unico for $100 million in late 2021, the site was redeveloped as a mixed-use, transit-oriented district.
Officially opened in 2024, the Providence Swedish Performance Center & Clubhouse was built in coordination with Venture General Contracting. The facility features four full-sized training pitches with world-class surfaces. Belgium will also utilize the facility’s coaching and technical staff offices.
