While electric vehicles aren’t exactly the flavor of the month right now, they do offer some decent benefits over their internal combustion-engined rivals that make them a tantalizing option. Their simplicity means there is little to go wrong mechanically, while their instantaneous power delivery and lack of a proper gearbox make them excellent for zipping around town without having to constantly row through the gears. Their general unpopularity, which has been led by their elevated MSRPs and relative lack of mileage they offer, and further compromised by a still sub-par EV charging infrastructure, has also meant they’ve depreciated by insane levels.
