American Performance
Roush Performance is part of that niche group of American aftermarket tuning companies. They are technically the same as the likes of Shelby, Callaway, Saleen, and Hennessey, all focused on making high-performance cars perform even better.
Roush has always been closely associated with the Ford brand – almost exclusively, but not quite. However, it seems the group is entering new territory by partnering with another American automotive brand.
Roush x RAM
The Michigan-based tuning firm is entering a new collaboration with truck maker Ram, as confirmed through a social media post by both companies. The post is captioned “It’s going to be a rowdy, all-American summer,” which hints at a debut or a preview very soon.
While it is unclear which specific truck the partnership will use as a base, the silhouette in the Instagram post points to the Ram TRX SRT, which, in its current form, is already quite the monstrous truck. In stock specifications, the TRX already makes a huge 777 hp and rides on Bilstein Black Hawk adaptive shocks.
There’s also a chance that Roush could offer souped-up versions of the Ram Rebel or Ram RHO; these non-V8 models are ripe for performance upgrades that could take them even further. What’s interesting is that Ram is really pushing the performance-truck image, having also just announced the Ram Rumble Bee, a more road-focused high-performance truck as opposed to the off-road rockets in the TRX SRT and RHO.

Truck Experience
As surprising as the Roush and Ram partnership is, it comes as no surprise that the latter tapped the former. Roush has extensive experience in tuning trucks; currently, it offers three Ford tunes: the Roush F-150, Roush F-150 Nitemare, and the Roush Super Duty. Each truck has its own distinct character and build, suggesting that Ram could use them not just for a single model but across the whole lineup.
