Zenvo pitched up with two versions of a new Aurora hypercar at Monterey three years ago, before progressing to a dynamic debut at last year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. Now, the final form is truly being shared with the world at this year’s edition of the event in the form of new validation prototypes that mark the last step before manufacturing can begin. As was the case before, the highlight of the hypercar is its 6.6-liter quad-turbocharged V12, the most powerful V12 road-going engine to date. Co-developed with MAHLE Powertrain and dubbed Mjølner, Zenvo wants 1,250 horsepower and a 9,800 rpm redline, but that’s not enough for the Aurora Tur.

The Zenvo Auror Agil shares its engine with the Tur, but it’s lighter, sends all its 1,450 hp to the rear axle, and has only one electric motor, while the Tur (or Touring) seen here is the more powerful and supposedly more long-legged, relaxed option. This pairs the monstrous V12 with a trio of electric motors, including two on the front axle, putting total output at 1,850 hp and 1,254 lb-ft of torque. 0-62 mph is claimed to take just 2.3 seconds, which almost seems slow by contemporary standards, and Zenvo Automotive expects the Aurora Tur to keep going until 260 mph, 53 mph faster than the Agil can manage but 20 mph slower than Zenvo’s original estimate. 0-186 mph is estimated to take nine seconds, and 0-248 mph should be done in only 17 seconds. Not too shabby for something that weighs 3,413 lbs dry, even if that’s a few hundred pounds heavier than Zenvo was originally targeting.

As for the transmission, an electrified eight-speed with specific setups for Agil and Tur is controlled by paddles behind the wheel, but not many people will ever experience it because just 100 Zenvo Aurora examples will be made across both variants, each starting at north of $2.8 million. Zenvo will continue to develop the car over the course of 2026 and expects the first customer deliveries to take place in the second half of 2027.

At this weekend’s Goodwood FOS (9-12 July), Zenvo will not only show off two prototypes of the Aurora Tur’s final form but also a single Aurora Agil show car, which will presumably be next to receive a validation program. Unfortunately, Zenvo hasn’t announced any plans to take on the Goodwood hillclimb in its 6.6-liter V12 beast, but given how rare these will be, and given that hand-assembled production will only begin in Denmark next year, perhaps the company would do well to share the unique exhaust note with enthusiasts at the 2027 event. After that, it’s anyone’s guess what else Zenvo has up its sleeve, but whatever is in the pipeline, it won’t be slow or boring.
