The concept of a track-only car from a mainstream automaker doesn’t make a ton of sense. After all, cars like the Ferrari FXX K Evo aren’t really qualified to run in most official racing classes, meaning their primary purpose is just to give owners a thrill that lasts only a few minutes’ worth of hot lapping. However, Lanzante has a bit of a reputation for taking extreme track toys and turning them into street-legal monster machines, and the English engineering firm has done just that with the Bugatti Bolide. And in advance of its roadgoing debut, it took a public bow today at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
