Twenty years can change a lot in the performance-truck world. In 2005, an appropriate and entirely acceptable way to build a hilariously fast pickup was to borrow an 8.3-liter V10 from the Dodge Viper and shoehorn it beneath the hood of a Ram. In 2027, Ram’s updated answer is a supercharged Hellcat V8, a widebody, and enough power to make some actual supercars nervous. Soon, one collector will get both.
Ram, UFC, RealTruck, and Barrett-Jackson are bringing two generations of Ram muscle truck together for the 2026 Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction: the first retail-production 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT and a customized 2005 Ram 1500 SRT-10. More importantly, they’re being sold as a pair, with proceeds supporting charitable organizations including Folds of Honor and the UFC Foundation. The First Rumble Bee SRT Will Have More Than 900 Horsepower
The regular 2027 Rumble Bee SRT isn’t exactly lacking firepower. Its supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat Hemi V8 produces 777 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque, enough for Ram to claim a 3.4-second 0-60 mph sprint, an 11.6-second quarter-mile, and a targeted 170-mph top speed. The truck heading to Barrett-Jackson, however, is no regular Rumble Bee.
Not only is it the first retail-production example built, but Ram’s design team and Direct Connection have transformed it into a one-of-one version capable of making more than 900 horsepower. The centerpiece is a Direct Connection 3.0-liter supercharger upgrade, complemented by a Magnaflow stainless-steel cat-back exhaust. And the visual changes are substantial enough that nobody should ever mistake it for the factory-stock truck.

Its upper body is hand-painted in Molten Red Pearl-Coat, while the lower portion is finished in Diamond Black Crystal Pearl-Coat, complemented by matching black fender flares and a black center hood stripe. There are custom red graphics along the bed, Flame Red RAM lettering in the grille, matching red Brembo brake calipers, and satin-black 22-inch wheels. A one-of-one center-console badge authenticates the whole thing.
The result, especially thanks to the incredibly cool Rumble Bee logo embedded into its racy paint scheme, looks substantially more sinister than the yellow Rumble Bee we’ve become accustomed to seeing—and its companion takes things to an even greater extreme.

Its Stablemate Has A Dodge Viper Engine
Sitting alongside the Rumble Bee is one of the trucks that helped originally establish this peculiar performance niche: a 2005 Ram 1500 SRT-10. Rather than a modern supercharged Hemi, the SRT-10 uses an 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V10 borrowed from the Dodge Viper, producing 500 horsepower. Ram notes that the SRT-10 still holds a Guinness World Record as the “World’s Fastest Production Pickup Truck.” RealTruck didn’t simply find a pristine old SRT-10 and park it beside the Rumble Bee, either. ProMotorsports customized the truck in collaboration with Mark Trostle, vice president of Ram, SRT, and Mopar Design.

The two-tone finish flips the color palette of the newer truck with a bright yellow upper body over satin black, accompanied by black hood graphics, matching yellow-and-black wheels, and enormous Viper-inspired graphics down the bedsides. Inside are black Alea leather seats with yellow accents. RealTruck also fitted PowerStep running boards, a Pro X15 soft roll-up tonneau cover, plus Husky Liners floor liners and bed protection.
Put the two side-by-side, and you effectively get a before-and-after portrait of Ram’s muscle-truck philosophy: one powered by an enormous naturally aspirated V10, the other making north of 900 hp from a supercharged V8.

They’re Being Sold Together For Charity
The trucks are scheduled to cross the Barrett-Jackson auction block together on Friday, September 11, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m. PDT at the Las Vegas Convention Center. UFC President and CEO Dana White will join Barrett-Jackson Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson on the auction block, and the winning bidder will also receive a VIP UFC Experience for a future event of their choice.
The date carries considerably more meaning than simply landing during Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas event. The auction takes place on the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, and the partnership is intended to honor the military members, first responders, and others who served in the aftermath. Barrett-Jackson is waiving its fees and commissions, with the sale supporting Folds of Honor and charitable efforts through the UFC Foundation.
It’s also an unusually intriguing way to frame the Rumble Bee’s arrival. Ram’s Tim Kuniskis describes the 2027 Rumble Bee SRT as representing where the company is headed and the Viper-powered SRT-10 as representing where it has been. With more than 1,400 horsepower between the pair, that’s a history lesson I’d be happy to make room for in my garage.
