Cadillac Is Done Playing Affordable
While the Cadillac Escalade carries over largely unchanged for the 2027 model year, the full-size luxury SUV now has a higher starting price following the discontinuation of the base 1SA trim, eliminating the sub-$100,000 option. That may be an issue for some who aren’t looking to spend six figures, but for others considering a spec’d-out version, the change may be irrelevant.
How much would that cost? Cadillac has now opened the configurator for the 2027 Escalade, with the flagship, all-wheel-drive-only V-Series starting at $175,195 in extended-length ESV form, including destination charges but before options. This particular model costs $3,000 more than the standard-length version.
The Options
Exterior-wise, Black Raven comes standard, while the most expensive paint options are Radiant Red Tintcoat and Vibrant White Tricoat, each adding $1,325. If that’s too much, Argent Silver Metallic and Sandstone are available for $725. The optional 24-inch black alloy wheels are part of the $5,200 Onyx Package, which also adds a black illuminated Cadillac emblem and a gloss-black Escalade nameplate.
Inside, prospective buyers can choose either a black or Sheer Gray cabin at no extra charge. However, Cadillac offers the Executive Second Row Seating Package for $7,500, upgrading the captain’s chairs with features like massage and ventilation, along with second-row wireless phone charging.
As standard, the Escalade-V ESV is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine making 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft of torque. It sends power to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.
With one of the $1,325 paint options and both packages, the vehicle is priced at $189,220. Additional accessories and service plans include a $195 rear fascia protector, a $135 front window shade, a four-year MobileService+ plan for $799 ($199 for one year), and an OnStar One with Super Cruise extension to eight years for $3,000.
Not for the Faint of Heart
All in all, this heavily optioned 2027 Cadillac Escalade-V ESV comes to $193,349, including the $2,895 destination charge.
Other considerations include waiting for the next-generation Escalade, which could arrive in the coming years. The current generation – underpinned by the GM T1 platform – was introduced for the 2021 model year and received a facelift for 2025, so the timeline appears to be lining up, though nothing has been confirmed as of this writing. Another option is the all-electric version of the nameplate called the Escalade IQ, which is scheduled to debut GM’s eyes-off driving technology in 2028.
