The used sports car market has never been more compelling, and right now it’s throwing up some genuinely surprising bargains. Case in point: the Mazda MX-5 RF remains one of the sharpest turn-key sports cars you can buy new, with its fold-back targa roof solving the reliability headaches that plagued older soft-top versions. It looks sleeker than the standard MX-5, too, and the RF’s cleaner roofline gives it a more purposeful stance. But for all its charm, the Miata leaves something to be desired when the road straightens out.
