Despite frayed relations, the Nissan-Renault alliance is still intact, and Nissan is making sure to take as much advantage of it as possible. In addition to providing a line of vans for Europe, Nissan is using a few of Renault’s small, affordable EVs to flesh out the Japanese brand’s electric range. It started with the Nissan Micra, a restyled Renault 5, and it’s now followed by the Nissan Pixo, which is based on the Twingo.
