Subaru has used Boxerfest 2026 to unveil two new special editions based on the BRZ and WRX. They honor the cars 15th and 25th anniversary.
The 2027 BRZ ZC15 pays tribute to the first-generation sports car, which had the chassis codename “ZC.” It features a unique Ceramic White paint job with bronze decals and matte bronze wheels. Subaru said the latter are backed up by “red-painted Brembo calipers,” although they’re yellow with red lettering in the photo released by the automaker.

Putting that discrepancy aside, Subaru said the white-on-bronze color scheme honors the 2020 BRZ tS. They went on to note the special edition has a black rear spoiler and a flexible V-bar under the hood.
Subaru didn’t release interior pictures, but the coupe has black leather seats with red inserts. These are exclusive to the ZC15, which also comes with an anniversary plaque located near the shifter.
Under the hood, there’s a familiar 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 228 hp (170 kW / 231 PS) and 184 lb-ft (249 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a six-speed manual that sends power to the rear wheels.
Production will be limited to 300 units and deliveries are scheduled for early next year.
WRX GD25
Buyers looking for something more powerful and practical can opt for the 2027 Subaru WRX GD25. Dressed in World Rally Blue, the sedan rides on gold-painted 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Potenza S007 tires. They’re backed up by “uprated” Brembo brakes, which appear to have yellow calipers with red lettering.
Other highlights include a strut tower bar and a carbon fiber rear wing. They’re accompanied by a performance-tuned suspension that features stiffer springs and revised damping for “more composed, confident cornering.”
Interior changes sound minor, but Subaru confirmed the WRX will have an STI shift knob. Elsewhere, there are Recaro seats with black Ultrasuede inserts and red contrast stitching.
Motivation is provided by a turbocharged 2.4-liter boxer engine developing 271 hp (202 kW / 275 PS) and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm) of torque. It’s paired to a six-speed manual as well as a symmetrical all-wheel drive system.
Subaru will offer 350 units and they’ll land in the summer of 2027. Reservations for both models will open later this year and we can expect to learn more details closer to launch.
