Being an early adopter can be a mixed bag. Sure, we all love being first in line to try out the latest tech, and sometimes that also means getting first dibs on new software designed to take advantage of it. But occasionally there’s a flip side to that, and while devs already know what to expect from older hardware, targeting the newest devices can introduce some unwelcome delays. Pixel 11 owners know exactly what we’re talking about, after getting left out from Android 17 QPR2 Beta 6 last week. Thankfully, they didn’t have to wait too long.
Late last Thursday, Google dropped its latest Android 17 QPR2 Beta release for its Pixel testing community. And while that included builds for the Pixel 6a all the way up through the Pixel 10 series (remember, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are getting too old to be eligible for this release), we sure expected that list to also include the new Pixel 11 models. And yet — nothing.
