Big Changes
The current-generation Chevrolet (C8 generation) has been around for 6 years already. Usually, automakers roll out mid-cycle refreshes and updates to keep products “fresh.” That’s the case for the 2027 Chevrolet Corvette, which came into the year with a slew of updates.
Those updates include a new variant in the Grand Sport X, but the model also saw initial price increases as early as April 2026. It is now becoming clear that Chevrolet isn’t done raising Corvette prices, and another increase is in the works.

$300 Increase Across the Board
The first wave of price increases this April was much bigger, with price differences starting at +$1,000 (Stingray) and rising to +$15,200 for the ZR1X. Those prices alone were major increases compared to the 2026 models. Now, GM Authority published a report that highlights a blanket increase in Corvette prices, which amounts to $300 across all variants.
We’ve reached out to Chevrolet to verify the price increase across the board. We’ll update this story when we receive a response.
Starting prices for the 2027 Chevrolet Corvette lineup are as follows:

Pricey Updates and Options
The model year 2027 introduced a new engine: the naturally aspirated 6.7L V8 LS6, replacing the older LT2. The LS6 makes 535 hp and 520 lb-ft of torque; it also powers the new Grand Sport and Grand Sport X. Speaking of which, we recently published an article highlighting the most expensive Grand Sport X model you can configure and buy. Our fully decked-out Grand Sport X was quoted at $186,138. Considering that price, you can already get a base 1LZ ZR1.
As shocking as the new Corvette prices are, we decided to look at its immediate competitors. At $227,695 for a ZR1X, it is still comparatively more affordable than a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, which starts at $241,300. Further up the pricing ladder is the Ford Mustang GTD, which starts at $325,000, and the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, which costs an eye-watering $524,000.
