Already the most horsepower-heavy SUV in its class, Dodge wants to remind everyone that the Durango is also among the most customizable. For the third time over the last three months, the automaker has introduced new color options for the powerful SUV, raising the number of customization possibilities to over 20 million in the case of Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak models. The new options should further boost strong Durango sales, which are already up by 13% this year despite the SUV’s age.

The new exterior color for the Dodge Durango is called Smokescreen, which is now available at a cost of $595. This color was first shown on the Durango R/T 392 Smokescreen Concept revealed in August, and it’s another addition to the grayscale trend that’s seen colorful cars become far less common. Coupled with black wheels and trim, it does lend the Durango a sinister personality, though.
“The Durango Smokescreen Concept was a pretty thinly veiled way of testing the waters at Roadkill Nights, and the reaction was fantastic,” said Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO. “After talking with enthusiasts at the event, it was clear they loved it even more in person than they did in photos. When customers tell us they love something, we listen. Their feedback helped accelerate our plans and bring this from concept to reality, giving owners another way to make Durango stand out.”

The other new option is found inside. Available exclusively for the Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak, these are Petrol Blue seats and they carry a cost of $2,995. Not only is the color unique, but the upholstery is Laguna leather, so it adds a welcome premium touch to the cabin. These seats have dual silver stitching and embossed SRT Hellcat logos, reminding everyone that you picked the supercharged version of the SUV.

The Family SUV For Enthusiasts

Stellantis
For driving enthusiasts forced to give up smaller, nimbler performance cars to meet the needs of a growing family, the Durango is a great choice. Even at the bottom of the lineup, customers get a 360-hp Hemi V8—the most affordable V8 vehicle with all-wheel drive in the industry. One level above, the Durango R/T 392 features a 475-hp V8, while the SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Jailbreak models come with a supercharged V8 making a stupendous 710 hp. These versions can reach 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, but they’re also properly capable, with a maximum towing capacity of 8,700 lbs.
Pricing for the 2027 Durango lineup starts at $43,675 for the GT Hemi, while the Hellcats will exceed $80,000 before you start playing with the extensive options list. The SUV’s potent performance, practical interior, and vast customization potential have seen Dodge sell over 61,000 examples in 2026 so far, an impressive achievement for this generation of the SUV, which originally went into production in 2010.
