Compact SUVs are ubiquitous. Turn up to any major parking lot and you’ll see a sea of them. That should be no surprise considering they accounted for two of the five best-selling vehicles in the US in 2025, the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V, specifically. They make plenty of sense when it comes to fuel economy and practicality, so again, no surprise, but excitement rarely figures into the equation.
