In the US, we’ve always been able to buy an E46 BMW M3. They were sold new in the States, and almost 44,000 of them made it into American hands between 2001 and 2006. However, there was one particular E46 M3 we never received: the CSL. It was a lightweight, stripped-down version of the standard model, and only 1,383 or so were produced for the European market.
