Mazda’s Skyactiv is in flight. There’s no delight, though. A new report says that Mazda is dropping its clever Skyactiv-X engine from half of the vehicles that offered it. That puts the gas engine that could ignite like a diesel on the edge of extinction after less than 10 years on the market.
