Porsche is a past master at the art of the optional extra. Most of its models are offered with the bare essentials, ready to be customized by their new owners with a myriad of options ranging from different wheel designs to personalized seatbelt colors and exterior decals. Some may feel that this is just another way to gouge a bit more cash out of customers, but it does keep the base prices within reach of a larger target audience, and it allows for a lot more customization.
