When one thinks of modern supercars, places like Modena and Sant’Agata Bolognese in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region – home to Ferrari and Lamborghini, respectively – spring to mind, not downtown Singapore. However, in the last decade, a battery technology startup called Vanda Electrics saw the emerging world of electric vehicles as an opportunity to put Singapore on the automotive map.
