Fifth Third Bank is leaving its vaunted digs in Nashville and moving to the Neuhoff District. The decision may have been made easier by the fact that the building with its name on it is for sale.
The Nashville Business Journal reports Fifth Third moved into the 31-story tower at 424 Church St. in 2006. It is trading its 17,000 square foot space for a 20,000 square foot one at its new office. Stream Realty and Cushman & Wakefield represented the developer, and CBRE represented Fifth Third in the lease deal.
The $550 million first phase of Neuhoff District slowly opened last year and includes nearly 1 million square feet of office and retail space and hundreds of apartments. In addition to office tenants, the development has retail brands and restaurants.
Fifth Third Center, located at 424 Church St., opened in 1986 and offers nearly 650,000 square feet of leasable space, according to Business Journal research. Blackstone Real Estate owns the building, having paid $144.8 million for it in 2019.
