We were at the Slate truck launch a few months ago, and left cautiously optimistic about the idea of a small, barest of barebones, uniquely affordable electric truck. We’re talking about a truck that Slate is aiming to sell for $20,000 before options, and arrives in such a basic form that it has no infotainment screen, no speakers, and manual-crank windows.
