- Koenigsegg has unveiled the new Sadair’s Spear, an upgraded track-focused version of the Jesko.
- The model is street legal, but comes with more power, less weight, and even more aggressive aero.
- The hypercar is already sold out, with Christian von Koenigsegg saying it is “destined to set records”.
The Koenigsegg Jesko Attack is one of the fastest hypercars in the world, but the Swedish automaker has just improved every single aspect of it. The Sadair’s Spear is a new track-focused version with increased power, reduced weight, redesigned aero, and a revised chassis setup.
Unlike some of its track-only rivals, the new Koenigsegg is fully road legal across global markets. Production is limited to 30 units, all of which have already been spoken for at an undisclosed price. According to Christian von Koenigsegg, the new hypercar is “destined to set records” and has already proven to be 1.1 seconds faster than the Jesko Attack at the Gotland Ring track in Sweden.

So, how did Koenigsegg improve the Jesko recipe? First, they added more power. The twin-turbo V8 engine benefits from a new calibration and enhanced cooling. As a result, the output climbs to 1,300 hp (969 kW / 1,318 PS) on regular unleaded gasoline and up to 1,625 hp (1,212 kW / 1,648 PS) on E85 fuel. This represents an increase of 20 hp and 25 hp respectively over the Jesko Attack. Power is still transmitted to the rear axle via Koenigsegg’s flywheel-free Light Speed Transmission (LST), exclusively operated through the paddles behind the steering wheel.
Then, there is the weight – the Sadair’s Spear is 35 kg (77 pounds) lighter than the Jesko, meaning it surpasses the 1:1 power-to-weight ratio of its Koenigsegg One:1 predecessor. Of course, there is a track-focused chassis setup – the suspension received lighter springs and in-house developed front Triplex dampers, combined with enhanced multi-layer carbon-ceramic brakes featuring stronger materials for the pads.

Finally, Koenigsegg managed to improve the aerodynamic performance of the Jesko, largely thanks to a new double-blade active rear wing. This is said to produce more downforce in combination with refined underfloor strakes and wheel arch louvres.
The rear end is slightly longer, while the front canards, louvres, hood vents, and side intakes have been redesigned for better cooling. Furthermore, there is a new set of Aircore carbon fiber wheels with a turbine-blade directional design, which is unique at each corner. These are shod in wider track-focused tires.

The interior has been overhauled, with an emphasis on weight reduction. It features a redesigned center console and carbon fiber seats, reduced insulation, and lighter components. The hypercar comes standard with three-point seatbelts, although a six-point racing harness is offered as an option. Despite its track-focused character, it retains features such as the SmartCluster display, wireless charging, and birds-eye parking assist.
If you’re wondering about the name choice, the Sadair’s Spear was the favorite racehorse of Jesko von Koenigsegg – the father of the company’s founder and CEO, who lent his name to the “base” Jesko model.
Christian von Koenigsegg said: “Sadair’s Spear represents a natural progression for Koenigsegg – an impeccable balance of raw power, refined aerodynamics, and extraordinary road presence. This car is destined to set records. Achieving such track dominance in a fully road-legal vehicle is nothing short of remarkable.”
