For drivers who value reliability and affordable maintenance from their vehicles, you can’t go far wrong with something Japanese, like a Toyota or Honda. The trouble is, they can lack the premium feel and status that, say, a vehicle built by one of the many German manufacturers does. As long as you can get over the cost premium, having a BMW or Mercedes-Benz to drive brings a nice bit of extra cachet.
