While all-wheel drive is excellent for bringing some much-needed security and grip to whatever vehicle it’s fitted on, it can blunt its adrenaline-pumping nature if it takes away a little too much power from the front or rear axle. To be able to have a bit of rear-end action, you’ll normally need at least 70% of the total grunt sent to the rear wheels, though even then, the power being sent to the front will help keep the car pointing straight.
