An independent mechanic Reddit user posted an app notification from one of his customers from a Dodge dealership in San Diego. The notification recommends replacing the spark plugs and reminding the owner that their 96,000-mile service is overdue. The jaw-dropping kicker is that the dealership is quoting an insane $1,534.52 to replace the spark plugs on a 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT 392. Granted, the 392’s V8 needs two plugs per cylinder, adding up to 16 spark plugs, and the factory replacement is NGK platinum plugs. But, even with a very generous dealership labor cost of three hundred bucks for an hour’s labor, that leaves the plugs costing $77.15 each. That’s not Bugatti Veyron expensive, but it’s a bit rich.
