There was a time when V12 engines would grace the most exotic cars and some of the world’s finest sedans; cars which would represent the pinnacle of luxury and performance. These engines were smooth and predictable, and perfectly capable of generating some fearsome speed, but in a society more driven by constraint and carbon footprints than anything else, their demise was predictable.
