You can buy some seriously impressive machinery in the United States for around $550,000. Among the most extreme is the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, a plug-in hybrid supercar with blistering performance. If you’re open to pushing past the $600,000 mark, there’s the Lamborghini Revuelto, another Italian heavyweight. But if European exotics aren’t your thing, AC Cars America might have something that strikes a different chord.
Say hello to the AC GT SuperSport. It comes from the British marque that’s been building cars since 1901 but has been launched specifically for the US market. It combines the iconic design of the Cobra with hypercar levels of performance. It also has a hefty starting price of $550,000, and that’s before taxes.

AC plans to build just 25 examples of the GT SuperSport. Limited technical details about the new model have been released, although the company says customers will be able to configure it to deliver up to 1,025 hp from an upgraded V8. Fittingly, it boasts a host of aero upgrades to complement the stratospheric levels of power.
For the first time in a modern AC Cobra-based model, the GT SuperSport rocks a large fixed rear wing, helping to stick its rear wheels to the tarmac. Admittedly, this wing doesn’t really suit the classic shape and design of the body, but it should help improve stability, particularly for any owner brave enough to drive the car even remotely close to its limits.
These preliminary renderings of the car also show it with a small rear diffuser, distinctive side skirts, and a custom front fascia with an enlarged grille.
“It is fitting that we launch our most formidable model with AC Cars America, and the AC GT SuperSport will cement itself as true icon of automotive engineering. Despite the comprehensive overhaul in design, there’s no doubting the car’s linage and we’re ready to release the car’s true potential,” AC Cars chief executive David Conza said of the new car. Customer deliveries of the car will start in 2027.
