The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee on Wednesday is holding a hearing on cybersecurity and how to ensure privacy for Americans, including protecting sensitive data within the health care system.
Lawmakers and health sector experts will come together to weigh options for implementing technology to establish privacy protections. The hearing comes directly following the committee’s vote on Susan Monarez, President Trump’s pick to serve as director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EDT.
