
If we asked you to guess the highest-displacement gas-powered inline-four engine ever made, you might assume it could be found in some Toyota hot hatch, maybe a GR Corolla, or a German-made sports coupe. The truth is a bit weirder than that. The long and short of it is that John DeLorean created the Trophy 4, a 3.2-liter four-pot, by, essentially, cutting a Trophy V8 right down the middle, and building the engine from a single bank of the larger powerplant.
