The Ariya is Nissan’s first compact electric SUV. We must differentiate it now, as Nissan claims the Leaf is an SUV, too. And as compact electric SUVs go, the Ariya has a lot going for it on paper. It’s reasonably priced, practical, reliable and safe. It has a neat modern interior. And it’s pleasant enough to drive in all-wheel-drive form. It’s not the sexiest crossover out there, but that has never stopped the Rogue from doing monster sales.
