- A new report suggests the Ram 1500 TRX will go into production early next year.
- The truck would slot above the 1500 RHO and battle the Ford F-150 Raptor R.
- The model would presumably have a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine producing at least 702 hp.
Stellantis recently brought back the V8-powered Ram 1500 and it’s been met by a wave of enthusiasm. In fact, the company secured over 10,000 orders in the 24 hours following the announcement.
Ram’s next trick could be the revival of the 1500 TRX and it could return sooner than you’d expect. According to Mopar Insiders, an updated version of the high-performance truck is slated to go into production in late January 2026.

It’s expected to become the first product from the reborn SRT division, which is being headed up by Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis. Little else is known at this point, but the truck is expected to build on the 1500 RHO and battle the Ford F-150 Raptor R.
While details are scarce, the original Ram 1500 TRX bowed out in 2024 with a Final Edition. The $117,625 truck featured a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine developing 702 hp (523 kW / 712 PS) and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque. It was paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel drive system, which enabled the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.5 seconds, hit a top speed of 118 mph (190 km/h), and run the quarter mile in 12.9 seconds at 108 mph (174 km/h).

At the time, Ram bragged the TRX was the “most powerful mass-produced pickup in its class” and had been “rigorously tested to handle the most punishing conditions with extreme capability.” However, the TRX is no longer top dog as the 2025 F-150 Raptor R has a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 developing 720 hp (537 kW / 730 PS) and 640 lb-ft (867 Nm).
That would give the Blue Oval bragging rights, but we already know the supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 is capable of producing even more power. In particular, the engine was rated at 717 hp (535 kW / 727 PS) and 656 lb-ft (889 Nm) in the 2023 Dodge Challenger Hellcat. The Hellcat Redeye bumped things up to 797 hp (594 kW / 808 PS), while the SRT Super Stock had 807 hp (602 kW / 818 PS).
