Not long ago, only higher-end vehicles got truly impressive stereos. Car companies have been partnering with well-regarded audio brands for decades, with mixed results. However, it was only in the past decade or so that we have seen the automotive stereo competition really heat up, with ever-increasing speaker counts, higher wattage, and additional features, providing more musical immersion in an affordable vehicle than ever before.
