Historically, drivers looking for a stand-out coupe wouldn’t have contenders built by Lexus particularly high up their list of options, with the Toyota-owned luxury brand tending to focus on larger sedan and SUV offerings, which don’t exactly get the pulse racing. The coupes they did make, such as the SC 430, were generally rebadged Toyotas with some extra luxury trimmings scattered about. This changed in the mid-2010s when the RC was released, which followed the amazing 2009 LFA supercar.
