The latest Dodge Charger has been a divisive vehicle since its debut a year ago. Despite copious power and an exciting (if fake) Fratzonic propulsion sound, the all-electric Daytona model hasn’t found the muscle-crazed buyers the company might have hoped. And although there’s the newly revealed Sixpack model on the horizon with up to 550 horsepower from its twin-turbo inline-six, some Charger fans just won’t be happy until there’s a Hemi back under the hood. As it turns out, Dodge seems to be planning just that. In a conversation with media, CEO Matt McAlear hinted very strongly that the supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 could indeed fit under the hood of the sedan and coupe twins, meaning the Charger might get yet another propulsion option in the near future.
