Volkswagen went through a metamorphosis in America over the past decade. Once the masters of the small, affordable car, VW is now a crossover-centric brand in the US. In 2024, nearly 77% of its vehicles sold in America were crossovers. The compact Tiguan was the brand’s best-selling car with 94,372 units sold. The midsize Atlas family, the three-row Atlas and its two-row Atlas Cross Sport variant, outsold the Golf family more than seven times over.
